Registration details:
A non refundable registration fee is $60 per person to cover facilities and program costs, basic lodging or camping, and food for the weekend. The actual cost of everything included with the convergence is closer to $400 per individual and includes travel, local organic foods and a team of cooks, ground transportation and the program. If making an online transaction is not your thing, please register, and select “Pay at the Event” when prompted for type of payment. We will gladly accept cash, check or credit card, when you check in at the Convergence. Registering is important for reserving a place to sleep and dietary needs.
Additional donations will help us meet the goals of this important event, so please give what you can. If you want your donation to be earmarked for scholarships, please let us know.
No one will be turned away due to inability to pay, though reimbursements are dependent on our ability to secure additional funding for scholarships. For this reason, we are happy to provide you with an information packet that will enable you to raise the $60 for the registration fee, travel and whatever other expenses you anticipate.
We have two option available for attendees that would like to participate but will be staying off site.
Staying off site Registration
Student/Youth staying off site registration
Lodging options:
There are four categories of accommodation at the event center Friday night thru Monday morning. All options include meals for the weekend. Please select your preferred choice for lodging on the registration button above.
Private rooms (double occupancy) with private baths are similar to motel rooms but in a lodge that is part of a camp setting. If you have someone who will be bunking with you, your guest will need to also register using a discount code.
Private rooms (double occupancy) with communal baths. If you have someone who will be bunking with you, your guest will need to also register using a discount code.
Cabins: Some of the cabins are more rustic than others, and may or may not have climate control. Please prepare accordingly (bring towel/sleeping bag) for the variable weather which can sometimes range from very warm days to cool evenings. For an additional fee linens can be provided. The distance between the camps is considerable and a shuttle bus will be available if you need assistance to get from Camp 1 cabins . Camp 2 cabins are closer to the event spaces but the cabins are more rustic.
Tent or car camping: there will be designated spaces for campers. Participants are responsible to bring their own equipment.
We highly recommend staying on site with us to get the maximum benefits from the convergence. However if you choose to stay in another location there are numerous other options. 10 minutes away, Best Western Saluki Inn has a block of rooms that have been set aside and are available for the attendees of the Convergence. Reservations must be finalized separately by calling 618-351-6611, no later than September 28. Ask for the "Resurgence," room offer. Other options range from hotels, bed and breakfasts, airbnbs, hipcamp and nearby, full service campgrounds. Participants who stay off site will be responsible for their own transportation to the Event center in addition to the Staying off site Registration fee.
Should you require any assistance in accommodations for your personal needs, please contact us forestsclimate2019@gmail.com
